Well i have just returned after 2 weeks sailing in the mediterranean and I can tell you it was amazing. Starting off on the coast of Greece we were destined for Sunsails port at Vounaki which are who we all booked our sailing holidays with in the past. Sunsail have a load of options for staying at their clubs and my parents have done these for years.

Vounaki is a small town where you get all the benefits of a resort style holiday but can then venture off in to the local town and markets. With the sailing holiday we were able to sail out of Vounaki to various other locations and this was without a doubt the best way to travel!

Well it will be back to normal but i am still going to keep up sailing now I am back in the UK!

I am now so excited as I go on a flotilla holiday next week. I have been sailing for about 5 years but never taken a yacht charter before so i though i would do the safe option and try out a flotilla first. Flotilla holidays basically provide you with a sfer environment to try out your skills in the company of other more experienced sailors who lead the trip. Our flotilla will consist of 5 or 6 other yachts and we have 4 crew on ours.

I have a feeling that when i return i may well be enetered in to cowes week for the F14 class dinghy sailing which i s really what my main experience is in. I booked my flotillay holidays via sunsail who have organnised the entire trip and also provided discounted entrance fee for one of their yachts that have been entered in to cowes week!
